Multi-site widgets for agencies: one account, all clients

An agency needs popups, social proof and lead forms on many client sites without one subscription per client, one login per tool, or a bill that grows every time a client gets traffic. The right setup is one account with a website per client, your branding or none on the widgets, and reporting that tells you when a site goes silent before the client does. Here is the workflow, the features to check, and the cost per site.

Key takeaway: price tools per client site, not per plan: divide the monthly price by the number of sites you will really run. Then check three things: white label, a usage cap that does not switch widgets off, and alerts when a client site stops reporting activity.

Widget themes in the GrowthTools dashboard: match each client brand without rebuilding widgets from scratch.

What agencies need from a widget tool

  • Many sites under one account. One website per client domain, each with its own script, widgets and statistics.
  • A predictable cost per site. Per-site pricing and traffic-based tiers make margins hard to quote in a retainer.
  • White label. Remove the vendor branding from widgets, show your own, put your logo on the dashboard, and serve the script from your own domain so the vendor name never appears in the client's code.
  • Reliability you can prove. A widget that silently stops working costs the client leads and costs you trust.
  • Leads that stay. Captured emails kept in the account for good, and delivered by webhook, email or Slack to wherever the client works.

A setup workflow per client

  1. Add the client's website. One website per domain, named after the client so reports stay readable.
  2. Install the script. Paste one deferred line in the theme or through the client's tag manager. The dashboard shows when the first visit is detected.
  3. Start from a proven widget. Use a guided starting point (capture emails, promote an offer, get more inquiries) with display rules that respect visitors, then adapt the text and theme to the brand.
  4. Connect the client's stack. Send leads by webhook to the client's email platform (directly, or through Zapier or Make), or by email or Slack, and test with a real lead before launch.
  5. Brand it. On Agency, add your logo to the dashboard, your brand to the widgets, and connect your own domain for the script (for example widgets.youragency.com). It goes live once the domain points to us and its certificate is issued, usually within a business day.

Know when a client site goes silent

Client sites change without warning: a theme update removes the script, a new page template breaks a selector, a plugin conflict hides the widget. Each GrowthTools account receives one weekly health report covering all its sites. It lists the week's impressions and interactions, flags any site that had activity the week before and none this week, flags live widgets no visitor has seen yet, and points at widgets whose interactions dropped by more than half. You hear about it before your client does.

Honest limits: the report tells you a site stopped sending activity, not why. The fix still needs a look at the site. And clients do not get their own login inside your account: share results with them yourself, or let a client who wants direct access run their own plan.

Questions

Yes. Each client domain is a website in your account with its own script, widgets and statistics. Pro includes 25 websites and Agency includes 100, with impressions shared across the account.

Pro removes the GrowthTools branding from widgets. Agency goes further: your brand on the widgets, your logo on the dashboard, and up to 3 own domains to serve the script, so the GrowthTools name does not appear in your clients' site code.

Every account with live widgets gets a weekly health report covering all its sites. It flags sites that had activity the previous week and none this week, live widgets no visitor has seen, and widgets whose interactions dropped by more than half.

Divide the monthly price by the number of client sites you run. GrowthTools Agency costs $37.90 a month for up to 100 sites with white label, about $0.38 per site at full use, and Pro costs $12 for up to 25 sites.

Every client site, one predictable bill.

Start free on one site, then move to Agency when your portfolio grows: 100 sites, 1,000,000 impressions, your brand everywhere.
